Microsoft Office Setup: Advanced customization Once you have installed Microsoft Office, you will notice that it loads and displays the standard Microsoft Office application, but with a few customized features enabled. To enable the Microsoft Office Setup feature, open the Microsoft Office application on your computer. You will see the “impeller” icon with two bars running across the top of the screen. The right-hand bar contains four buttons. The left-hand bar contains four buttons as well. When you click on any button, you will be taken to a page where you can select “Settings”.
Select “Settings” and then choose the subitem “Customize” and click OK. You will then see a page where you can choose the Microsoft Office suites and click on each one to add them to your Microsoft Office application. Each suite will display a logo of Microsoft while editing occurs and will also display a Microsoft Outlook icon. To finish the installation process, you will see the Microsoft Outlook icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
